There’s never been a more important time in recent history than now to refocus on God’s truth about ourselves so we can each live the life we were made for. The recent lockdown has turned our daily experiences upside down; we have all had to journey through the reality of the epidemic but each of our experiences and trials will have been have different.
For many of us the journey will have given us a chance to be aware of and consider what is going on in our hearts and heads, to question our priorities and whether our lives are in line with the Gospels. Yes, we are living in unprecedented times. But God doesn’t want us to live in fear or believe the lies that fill our heads as we are stuck in isolation, or trying to retain the correct social distance from each other. We can still live in joy and victory, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
To help our Diocese of Portsmouth move forwards, I introduce you to Chris Stefanick. Chris is an internationally acclaimed speaker who goes around the world inviting people into a dynamic, life-changing encounter with God through Jesus Christ in His Catholic Church. We were hoping Chris was going to visit our Diocese this summer, but we had to cancel. However, it is possible for each of us to access his online coaching program called I AM.
This 30-day program is about taking our self-talk away from the devil and putting it in God’s hands. God’s affirming truths replace any negative self-talk with positive, hopeful images of how God sees us, and what good things He wants to tell us. Encouraged to look at how you talk to yourself, and provided with practical tools to help you battle the enemy’s lies you’ve been believing, the programme will help you transform your life, relationships, and future as you live in the freedom of your true identity.
