This year is the 50th anniversary of the implementation of the Abortion Act. To date approximately 9 million unborn babies have legally died through abortion in the UK since the law was passed, leaving behind many deeply hurting women and men. Whatever problems a women or couple face we don’t believe the answer is abortion as helping a woman to take the life of her own child is not a loving response to her situation. This has prompted the theme for this year’s March for Life UK which is: ’Every Life Deserves Love’. So far March for Life has been held in Birmingham but this year we are moving to London on Saturday 5th May. We want to encourage you to take some responsibility for changing this country for the better and one of the best ways to start is by attending March for Life.
If you’ve never attended a March for Life UK before then here’s what to expect: In the morning there are Masses & Christian services available which are taking place around London. ‘LifeFest18’ (the pro-life festival part) starts early at 9.30am in ‘The Connaught Rooms’ in Covent Garden. During the morning there will be workshops, pro-life stalls, merchandise, live music, a prayer room for prayer ministry and Confessions. A children’s craft area with face-painting for the children (and adults), some inspiring testimonies and other surprises to be unveiled on the day. The morning festival will finish at 1.00 which will then lead straight on to the BIG MARCH. We will have a joy filled ‘march’ or procession through the streets of Westminster proclaiming our central message of ‘Life from conception – No exception’ before we come together for a time of quiet reflection and our keynote speakers in Parliament Square
A coach will be going to Lifefest from our Diocese which will be leaving from St. Mary’s Gosport at 9.30am on Saturday 5th May and will leave London after the March at 6.00pm. The cost will be a suggested minimum £20.00 donation for Adults who can afford it.
Please contact Jacob in the St. Mary’s Parish Office on 023 92580119 to book your seat on the coach.
