The next meeting will be held on Monday 11th December in St Swithun’s Church Hall THIS MONDAY BEFORE OUR MEETING WE WILL expose the Blessed Sacrament from 6.30-7pm (on Monday 10th December). We will pray for Sarah and her Team in Ealing. She has asked for our prayers to support her meeting with local Councillors this Monday in relation to the Buffer Zone Proposal. Please, come, and after that we will have our BEACON PROJECT MEETING about the sacrament of Confession with all the possible questions. ALL ARE VERY WELCOME!
The Beacon Project is a prayer group with a focus on prayer formation for mission. It’s vision, to be a light for our city, is held by members from across the pastoral area. Formed in April 2015, it meets at St Swithun’s on Monday evenings (dates for each term published separately), 7.30pm-9.30pm. A typical evening includes Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and worship, time for prayer ministry and may include teaching or preparation for ‘Nightfever‘ All are welcome to join for a time of prayer, teaching and praise and worship.
‘Nightfever‘, held for the first time in February 2017, is the title given for an evening when the Church is lit in candlelight and teams of street missionaries invite passing pedestrians into the Church to experience the space, the prayerful atmosphere and are invited to light a candle, write a prayer or spend some time quietly in reflection. ‘Nightfever 2’ will be held in July 2017.
