Please join Bishop Philip on Saturday 5th May at 10.30am when the Diocese will be holding its very own Eucharistic Conference. The day will begin with praise and worship at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth led by Focus the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, a group of people from the ‘States’ who are passionate about changing the world and helping others to live a life of purpose and the Youth 2000 live band. We will then be able to listen to the most amazing inspirational speaker’s Fr Stephen Wang, Senior Chaplain to London Universities in the Diocese of Westminster and author of many CTS publications, Pippa Baker who has worked in advertising, is involved in leadership within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) and lives in a community house striving to live a life of hospitality and prayer.
After lunch (please bring a picnic with you) there will be the opportunity to participate in a workshop of your choice and then gather for Adoration and Mass at St John’s Cathedral, which will I will celebrate.
Have you taken time out of your busy schedule to pause? When was the last time you stopped and took time to think, to discern? When was the last time you came face to face with Jesus Christ? When was the last real encounter you had with your faith? This event is an opportunity to engage with like-minded families in prayer, fellowship, and joy. Come and spend time with Jesus, friends, inspiring speakers and interactive workshops. Develop your faith. Develop your relationship with Jesus.
Please do come and join with others from throughout the Diocese for what promises to be the most awesome day. It’s a free event and open to peoples of all faiths or no faith. Admission to the Theatre is FREE, but entry is by ticket only, so do be sure to book yours now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning 07780221686.. It’s part of our diocesan preparation for the National Eucharistic Congress which takes place in Liverpool from September 7th to 9th 2018.

We thank you Father for the love you have shown us
in the gift of Jesus, your Son.
Keep us grateful each day
for the blessings that surround us.
As we are fed by you, so now send us out
to share what we have received
with our hungry brothers and sisters.
We humbly ask your help to become the Church
that you are calling us to be:
a community that listens, that trusts,
that lives with courage
and that puts out its nets into new waters.
May the gentle presence of Christ in our hearts
be a source of healing, of new life
and of a deeper trust in you.
We ask this in faith through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen
